"Truth is always bitter to those who fear it..." ~ Mad Hatter, American McGee's Alice ~ ________________________________
This is character of the Snow Queen who I remember from my childhood from the tale about Kai and Gerda ([link]) and from other tales where the Snow Queen was always shown as a two-faced beauty hiding her true face.
The idea for showing her this way was inspired by the appearance of The Red Queen from American McGee's Alice, who was sitting on her throne and talking to Alice she torn off her mask showing her facelessness. ________________________________
mostly people dont like to hear the truth dear cause usually it shatters their illusions, dreams or hopes...
I will look into the fairytale but fairytales usually carry a message of wisdom for our life but wrapped in childhood fantasy a Little Mary Poppins in that "a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down"
When I was little I used to listen to a lot of fairytales and lastly I've been thinking of reading them again, so maybe I would find out a new interpretation of them
Yes, but I rather meant a thought based on a picture I once saw. It was an op-art piece and there children see dolphins and adults would see lovers. So I meant that reading the old fairytales maybe I would be able to discover or understand something new
oh I see humm deeper meaning thats more or less what I mean as in the tail of red ridinghood may really be more as was put in the song by ELUVEITIE "Omnos" being of a fair young maiden to watch out for her virtue (celtic) I do think a lot of fairytails are of that nature they can operate on two levels of meaning
like a lot of good children's movies these days mostly the adult contend goes right over their heads but we understand I think it needs that to keep us amused as well for the children's sake (but really there isn't a message for us per say)
this is the Art of illusion you mean [link] I see lovers (erotica) and it actually took me a bit of time to reverse to see the dolphins..
it would be quite interesting too know how that operates really & I wonder with how much kids get to see these days if it would still hold true ? there is so much implied sex on TV and gee the net I think it would be hard for kids not to see, even if they dont truly know what the images are about..I am just talking tv etc and some adverts here, nothing more even thought thats all over the place
My goodness... I'm just mindblown by looking at this picture... my goodness... You've one so great work here! The atmosphere is great, the composition is awesome, and the only thing I lament is that perhaps you could've used a bit less detailing around the edges of the picture, as in up above the castle and behind the text.
Be sure to add blur next time to places where you don't want the attention to be drawn to, and you will be surely crowned as a grandmaster of this kind of art.
Aww... Thank You so much for these wonderful and constructive words, Simo! Well, I wasn't sure about these frozen shapes and now I see what's wrong here.
I suppose, I'm still able to blurr the places. Do You think I should do this and resubmit it here?
